New Fabric Collections & A Giveaway

New Fabric Collections & A Giveaway

It's been a long time coming. I hadn't created a fabric collection since "Charlotte" in 2022. When my mom got sick, it was near impossible to create, but last year in the thick of it all I realized that creating was going to hold me together.

Without art, in the midst of despair, I couldn't manage. So I decided to find the joy of creating a fabric collection again. Focusing on the what made me happy, I created a family of fabric collections that all cheerfully play together... my hope is that these collections bring you joy as well.

With that, I bring you Anthology, Storied Stripes and Legacy Essentials.

Storied Stripes actually came first. I wanted to bring the classic trend of "stripe drenching" in interiors to quilting. You may think it odd that I started with stripes being you know me for florals. But don't forget my mantra: "Florals go with stripes and animal print goes with everything.". You gotta have a stripe to balance all the floral.

Naturally, as I finished the stripes collection, I added the florals to go with them. I also added a cross stitch panel and a floral quilt block panel.

But let's talk about how to use these fabrics. In all of the collections, I created several designs that could very well be used on their own. However, another use is to cut it into strips. Use the strips to create blocks and use them as borders, as trim on a curtain (or a sink skirt as I did here), and also, to turn them in different directions to create interesting pillows and quilt blocks.

Also in this collection is two 54" wide linens (perfect for upholstery and curtains but also for clothing), and one wide back cotton. There's also a 2.5" binding edition piece that makes quilt binding a no brainer.

Legacy Essentials are from a design some of you long time followers may recognize. It's originally from a 2010 line I did called, Country Lane, and it's truly a usable classic with scallops, dots and stripes.

The lookbook for these collections are forthcoming, but in the meantime, they've landed in shops already. Click here to find a shop near you. If they are not in your local shop there are many online shops who have it, but we'd LOVE if you'd request that your local shop order from Art Gallery Fabrics.
