When we moved into this house in 2021, we'd left a home in which I'd done quite a lot of hand-painting of murals on the walls. I knew immediately I wanted to hand paint the walls in the dining room, and I finished one wall with the intent of doing more. And then life got in the way big time. I finished other things but never went back to the mural... Until last week.
I had updated the original design about a year ago, and then this past week spent five days painting the rest of the room. I'm thinking of offering hand painted murals as a service, so if that's something you'd be interested in, let me know in the comments.
Here's how it turned out:
I added the vintage mirror to reflect the rest of the room which is color drenched in Sherwin Williams Malted Milk paint.
Cafe Curtains give the room to have privacy while still allowing in light.
The linear chandelier adds a darker element which contrasts and helps to ground the space while the sconces on the wall to the left add another layer of interest.
